What Is Ninjutsu?
Ninjutsu, also known as Ninpō, is a traditional Japanese martial art rooted in the ancient schools of Ninja warriors, also called Shinobi. It is not limited to combat: it includes natural movement, strategy, adaptation, discretion, as well as the mastery of the body, the mind, and the surrounding environment. In the practice of Togakure Ryū Ninpō Taijutsu, Ninjutsu teaches how to use movement, distance, angles, balance-breaking, and intuition to survive dangerous situations without relying only on physical strength.More than a simple method of self-defense, Ninjutsu is a deep path of study: a search for balance, awareness, inner flexibility, and Fudōshin, the immovable spirit in the face of difficulty.Ninjutsu, or Ninpō, can be understood as a complete path for surviving danger, protecting life, defending oneself and one’s family, while learning to live each moment fully in the search for happiness, inner peace, and awakening.
